Fun Things To Do In Denver- Part II

Posted on November 24, 2015 by Ray Williams (NMLS #216267).

Last week I posted about a couple fun things to do in Denver which included an indoor and outdoor activity.  This week the focus is on an indoor activity that can be done socially, alone or even as a special event.  It can even be a gift for the Holidays!

Most of us have heard about the Canvas & Cocktails, Sip & Paint, etc.  But have you heard of the Upstairs Circus? This place has taken DIY art to a whole new level!  They not only offer painting but 25+ different projects from home crafts, jewelry, leather making, etc. with a full bar. This would be fun by yourself or with your family, friends or even a business gathering. How about you choose a project that is made specially for someone to give as a gift this Holiday season? There really is nothing more special than a handmade gift! You work at your own pace, you don’t all have to work on the same project and the cost is $35-39/per person.  You just need to reserve your space, pick your project and pay at the door.  They provide all the needed supplies depending on the project you choose.  They have two locations, one in LoDo right on 15th & Wynkoop and the other in Greenwood Village.

Now if you are looking for something that will awaken your inner artist then maybe a art class or workshop is more your pace. At the Art Students League of Denver  they offer classes and workshops for all skill levels (beginner to professional) and all ages. Each class/workshop will vary in price and if you choose to become a member ($55/yr) then you get a discounted price for them.  Now maybe you won’t be able to complete a project in time for the Holidays to give as a gift but you could give the “gift of art” to someone.

Hope these ideas have inspired you to try something new and please share with us in your experience and/or let us know if you have any fun things to do in Denver! Share it with us on our Facebook page!
