Things to do this weekend in and around Denver

Lights, Camera, Action! If you haven’t been to the theater in a while, this weekend might be the time to go.  The Denver Center for the Performing Arts has Cabaret showing at the Buell theater and running until October 9th.  You won’t want to miss this Tony Award-winning production.  Also starting this weekend is Frankenstein showing at The Stage Theatre. It features two lead actors alternating performances in the roles of Victor Frankenstein and his creature.  This will be running until Oct. 30th.  And coming up next weekend is Colorado Ballet featuring Swan Lake (October 7-23) so mark your calendars and get your tickets early!

If the theater is not quite your cup of tea and you might want to check out the Colorado Tattoo Convention & Expo at the National Western Complex. Friday, Sept 30th-Sunday Oct. 2nd.  Here you will not only see live body art demonstrations, 150 local tattoo artists, Barber battles, car show and live concert performances set on 3 stages.

And if you are in the mood for supporting some local artists come and check out the Handmade In Colorado Expo on Saturday, October 1st 11 AM-7 PM at Central Park in Boulder.  This is a showcase of some of Colorado’s best handmade arts, crafts, foods and goods.  This expo will be happening in conjunction with the Green Beer Festival, Boulders County Farmers Market and CU’s parents weekend.  So head over early and make a day of it!

Last but not least, have fun, make memories, and share your experience! If you know of any festivals, features, openings, events, etc. please send us the info and we will make sure to pass it on!
