A staple in Cherry Creek, Hillstone!

Ever since it first opened (as Houston’s), in Cherry Creek, we have been going to Hillstone to eat. It is warm, inviting, and consistent. The service is good, staff is friendly, and oh boy does it smell good. There is something about the open kitchen concept that Hillstone has set up. They are smart, because they want you to walk right past the kitchen to see all the goodness brewing.

We go there for lunch on Saturdays quite a bit. Little known fact is you can get an amazing chili-cheeseburger on Saturdays here. A can’t miss is also the “Osaka Style” Spicy Tuna roll. Make sure to ask for the Nori on the side because they stopped serving it this way, and don’t be ashamed to eat it proper with your hands.

Our most recent dinner was last week. I ended up taking the plunge and getting a long-standing menu item. The Hawaiian Rib-Eye Steak is definitely a pleasant surprise. If you think the pineapple addition to the marinade will make it sweet, you are wrong my friend.Hillstone

Another recommendation would be the Nice Little House Salad as a sub for your side, and my wife loves the House-Made Veggie Burger as well. Add any one of many great wines by the glass and you will be set. Or go for a nice bottle of Walter Hansel (Pinot Noir) to add a touch of class to your meal. Enjoy and let us know of your favorite spots to dine in Denver~
