Land purchases for new Westside Denver Library

Denver recently purchased .86 acre property at Mike High Vista from the Urban Land Conservancy, which also sold another portion of the site to Del Norte Neighborhood Development Corp. for construction of a workforce house development as well as affordable commercial space for a daycare and nonprofit office.

The goal is to provide a library on Denver’s west side, which will be located within a quarter-mile of the Knox and Federal/Decatur light rail stations scheduled to be up and running in 2013.

This will offer great value to Denver’s west side which is already making great strides in rehabilitating this neighborhood.

There are some great things happening in Denver, I’m glad to be part of such a great community.
