Denver has some funky events lined up this weekend and one of the top events is the Celebrate National Adopt Shelter Pet Day this Sunday with Puppy Playtime & Brunch at Hotel Teatro. Proceeds go to nonprofit Underdogs Animal Rescue.
Before you kick off the weekend making reservations for brunch at Hotel Teatro, get tickets to watch the wild and magical musical “Cats”. You can end the night by sipping brews and supporting conservation efforts during the Drink RiNo Stampede. The Lowdown: Ratio Beerworks hosts Lost Walks. The band will perform an acoustic version of their Wolf, Woman, Man album along with choreographed dancers to create a full experience. Following the performance, the band will speak in a panel to discuss the process behind their music and in relation to conservation.

The Lowdown: Two Parts teams up with Cooking Matters Colorado to present the Vinochromatic Wine Festival. The event features an immersive wine tasting evening created to entice wine drinkers of all levels. A percentage of sales will go towards food skills education programs in Colorado.
Colfax Community Clean Up

The Lowdown: Denver’s Union Station teams up with Bumble Bizz and WeWork to present Women In Bizz. Puppy Brunch

Cost: Free admission. The suggested donation for puppy cuddles is $5; anyone who donates that amount (or more) will get a complimentary mimosa
The Lowdown: Brunch is already pretty awesome. Day drinking. A plethora of pancakes. More day drinking. But at this brunch, your favorite weekend meal gets an upgrade in the form of puppies. Adorable puppies from the Colorado-based nonprofit Underdogs Animal Rescue that you can cuddle and play with from 10am-2pm before or after popping into The Nickel for their take on brunch.
