Let’s keep this list short and sweet! 3 Denver events this weekend you may not want to miss! With most of the kids back in school or for some, this is the last weekend of summer vacation. There is a reason to partake in our community as often as we can.

Beers will be available for a $5 donation to Humane Society of the South Platte Valley. The first 50 canine attendees will also be pampered w/complimentary treats. Since this in the heart of the Outlets, you could also get some back-to-school shopping done!
Sunday, August the 19th- Drags You Out Of Bed
Go out for brunch and a “drag” show. Ad Hominem every third Sunday of the month want to drag you out of bed for two drag queen shows at 11 am & 1 pm. Enjoy $15 bottomless mimosa and amazing food!
And if going to an event doesn’t sound like something you would like to do this weekend, then how about some BBQ! Here’s a list of some essential Denver BBQ per Thrillist Denver:
Globe Hall-Texas-style BBQ, where the ribs are big, meaty and tender.
Roaming Buffalo BBQ– “Colorado-style” BBQ, owners are husband and wife, husband Texas raised and wife is a Colorado native. They have created a Colorado-style BBQ. The menu is filled with southwestern flair, from house-made green chili potato chips and cilantro line slaw, along with Colorado lamb shank and bison short ribs.
Jabo’s Bar-Be-Q–Denver’s biggest and best Carolina-style pulled pork sandwich. Their take on meats is as delicious as it is unique. With unique sauces such as smoky mange and pecan, you get to choose one of their many sauces, which are available in mild, medium and hot.
GQue-championship winning meats! I can say first hand this is one of my favorite BBQ places. The owner, Jason Ganahl from Missouri, before opening his place, took to the competitive barbecue circuit where his team dominated many national and regional events. From experience, you have to come early because they run out of meats. They do not store or freeze their meats, they are always fresh.
