There are plenty of things to do this weekend in Denver (and surrounding areas)! We’ve got Unicorns, Sand, Jugglers and much more! This weekend is a good time to get out and explore Denver and the surrounding neighborhoods. I’ve put together some options for you to hopefully partake in.
EVENTS THIS WEEKEND
Saturday Only
For all you who love fairy tales and mystical creatures, there is a Unicorn Festival tomorrow in Littleton! Yes, a unicorn festival! Take pictures with a unicorn, go visit the mermaid lagoon, watch the Wizards Duel and much more!
Has the beach been calling you? There is a short-term fix for you in Arvada this weekend! The Sand In The City is Colorado premier beach party located at Ralston Park (64th & Simms). There will be sand castle competitions, a kids zone, beach ball giveaways, live music and much more. Here is the schedule of events for the weekend to learn more!
Saturday & Sunday
Looking for some free entertainment? Check out the Buskerfest at Union Station. Here you will find some very uniquely talented individuals. I remember years ago just after graduating high school going to see the Buskerfest when it was on 16th street mall and we got to see “spoon man”. For those of you that are Soundgarden fans, you would know the song. It was pretty cool getting to meet the man behind the song written by Chris Cornell. I highly suggest checking out the Buskerfest!
If you are in the mood for some shopping you won’t want to miss Denver Flea Summer Flea! With 200+ vendors you are bound to find something unique and great! I attended the Holiday Flea at the former sports castle last year, and let me just say, it was awesome! I got everyone in my family a truly special and unique present. The Denver Flea is a great way to support our local Colorado makers and retailers. The Summer Flea is all weekend at the former Kmart on Broadway (Broadway & Alameda), plus the $5 entry gives back to their non-profit partner Rocky Mountain Micro Finance Institute.
SUMMER EVENTS
Now, if that is not enough for you then you can always look to getting tickets for the Cirque Du Soleil Luzia that is in town until July 9th. If you have been to a Cirque Du Soleil, then you know there is no disappointments and if you have never seen a Cirque Du Soleil then while it is in our neighborhood, I highly suggest attending a show! AMAZING!
Or you be sure to check out the Renaissance Festival in Larkspur. The Renaissance Festival is definitely a great time for the whole family. Consequently, it is only here until the end of July, therefore make sure to squeeze this in your summer calendar.
Please be sure to share and if you know of something going on in your neighborhood that you would like us to post please contact us.
