Festive Dining and Drinking in Denver for the Holidays

Festive Dining and Drinking in Denver for the Holidays

Looking for a fun night out with your family? Planning a romantic dinner date? Here are some Denver restaurants that have planned festive treats for the holidays.

The Broadmoor
1 Lake Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80906

A 13-foot gingerbread resort is welcoming visitors at the Broadmoor hotel this season. The 34-year tradition of building a festive gingerbread structure culminated this year in a replica of the 100-year-old resort itself. After taking in the marvels of the 120-square feet,  tiny house (made of 958 pounds of powdered sugar, 89 pounds of butter, and 78 pounds of assorted candy), head over to one of the Broadmoor’s seven restaurants for  cocktail and dinner.

EMP Winter House at the St. Regis Aspen Resort
315 E Dean St, Aspen, CO 81611

Starting December 15, the Chefs Club at the St. Regis Aspen Resort will transform into New York-based Eleven Madison Park’s first winter seasonal pop-up restaurant. The party here goes through April, including daily menus of Swiss-inspired après-ski cocktails, dinner, and dessert. See alpine fondue, schnitzel, and chestnut mont blancs. Don’t miss the yurt village.

Miracle at Avanti Wolf Bar
3200 N Pecos St, Denver, CO 80211

Back for a second year in Denver, the Miracle pop-up bar is as popular as ever with hours-long wait times to enter into a decked-out covered patio on Avanti’s upper level. Once inside, there’s wall-to-wall photo ops and kitschy warming drink specials.

Snowdrift at Adrift
218 S Broadway, Denver, CO 80209

Can’t get into Avanti’s Christmas Miracle? Across town at the tiki spot Adrift, “Snowdrift” bar is in full swing. The themed South Broadway room has taken on a second layer of decor, with Santa hats topping totems and an igloo surrounding the beach bar. Cocktails include You Butter Not Pout with bourbon, Jamaican rum, cinnamon, butter, grapefruit, and banana.

Brian Lockwood Residency at Basta
3601 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder, CO 80303

Former chef de cuisine at Eleven Madison Park Brian Lockwood has returned to his native Boulder to cook a special Israeli-inspired menu through December, including on Christmas Eve. The five-course prix-fixe menu features white truffle gnocchi, a whole roasted fish for two, honey meringue with ice cream, and more tasty courses.

Guard and Grace
1801 California St, Denver, CO 80202

Prefer to plan something intimate at home, but not interesting in the cooking or clean up? Try Guard & Grace’s takeout Christmas boxes and a la carte items. From smoked salmon dip to truffle mac & cheese to bacon wrapped filet mignon to a festive Christmas yule log for dessert, your dinner will be one for the ages.
